About Happy Days
Happy Days History
Happy Days is one of the most established Christian Educare and Grade R schools in the Southern Suburbs, with over 60 years of service. Set in a charming Victorian building built in 1928, the school features large grounds with shady trees, sandpits, and jungle gyms, creating a welcoming and stimulating environment.
Founded in 1963, Happy Days began as a converted Victorian home and has grown into a vibrant community rooted in Christian tradition. We accept children from all cultures, races, and religions, offering a “home away from home” atmosphere.
Our programs encourage young minds with Literacy, Numeracy, and Life Skills, supporting growth and development. We cater for children aged 3 months to Grade R, with aftercare for ages 6–14. Classes follow NELDS, DBD, and WCED curriculums, ensuring quality education.
Conveniently located near Plumstead Station, Happy Days is registered with the Department of Social Welfare, Health, and WCED. Our dedicated staff provide loving care, fostering every child’s wellbeing.
Our Vision and Mission
Happy Days is a Christian-based, child-centred daycare operating Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Our approach is rooted in the biblical principle of Proverbs 22:6: “Bring up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.”
Mission
Our mission is to provide quality educare in a faith-based community. We are a Christian-based child-centred daycare that strives to provide friendly, nurturing and loving child care whilst providing high-quality programs for Babies, Toddlers, Preschool, Grade R and Aftercare.
Vision
Our vision is to be a school that serves our community by providing quality educare that is affordable, accessible and attainable.
Safe, Happy, Growing
Our goal is for your child to have a safe, happy, and fulfilling day at Happy Days. We create a loving, nurturing environment with engaging daily activities to support learning, growth, and fun.
We teach children to respect themselves and others, fostering kindness and positive interactions. Hitting, biting, yelling, or name-calling are not tolerated. Instead, we use positive guidance to encourage good behaviour, and when necessary, we implement a gentle “time out” method.
Our structured daily program emphasises creative art and readiness for school, helping children thrive through consistent routines. At Happy Days, we believe that a safe, supportive environment is key to every child’s success and happiness.
